Anime FTP Server Down -

It seems the download server is down due to a few technical difficulties. It will probably be down for a few more days. Sorry folks no more anime for a few more days :(

Changed Port -

By the way I changed the FTP port back to 21 since i havent really seen a drastic increase in speed on the other port and it just confuses people. So make sure you change your ftp clients :) oh and for those who don't know much about ftp try just clicking the link next to ftp server.

FTP Server is Back up -

So ya the ftp server is back up. And yes i know many of you are very mad that it was down in the first place. I'm not going to be like most people and be all "Quit bitching blah bla bla" I'll leave that to the nice people of the forums to squabble.

So here is the reason it was down. I ran out of space on the file server 250GB of Anime will do that.. and I went out and got a 300GB hd and was going to put it into the file server then i got a brilliant idea to install solaris and use its Volume Manager software. But it seems Solaris doesn't like my AMD 64 chip of course i found this out about 80% of the way through the process and it ended up with my file server all whacked out.

And then I got busy at work and didn't have time to fix it. So to sum it all up the main reason is because I got busy and thats it. No glorious excuse of like how i was captured by Christian Terrorists and taken to a Canadian POW camp or anything crazy like that. I just got busy.

Curse my name all you want it doesnt really matter. But anyways now that its up i gotta install a few more things on the server and then I will start downloading Anime again. I'm pretty behind on the list since I havent had any room to put the files. So I will try to get caught up.

Site Down And Other Stuff. -

So ya the site was down for a while during a server move. Didn't expect it to go down like it did but oh well. I had a backup just incase. However during that time the ftp server was up so I hope it didnt inconvience anyone to much.

Now that thats over I do wanna talk about the state this site is in right now. I've seen a few forum posts where people ask if this site is still getting updated and all that. The answer is yes "kinda" as far as the downloads go and all that they are always being updated however I dont really like making posts on the main page much so i usually only tend to do that when its something important. So even though there may not look to be alot of activity on the surface I am always updating the site with cool new anime.

Infact right now I would like to point out the following on the FTP server.

ni$ du -sh ../Anime/
240G ../Anime/

For those of you who don't know what that means it means my Anime folder on this FTP server is 240 GIGs (59GB of that is One Piece... heh). But anyways thats a craptastic amount of Anime and I got something cooking that might provide me with a better ftp server. No promises just yet but something might pop up in the near future.

Server Back Online - Sun Feb 19 03:01:08 MST 2006

Alrighty the server should be back up. I know it was down for a while and I'm sorry basically i was adding another hard drive as im at 90% of the previous Anime hd. And then the power supply burnt out... Seems it didnt have enough juice for the third hard drive... So anyways Im also going to be moving some anime's around within the ftp folder older animes that have the series already completed will be located within the archive folder.

Again sorry about the down time however the server should be good now.

Yes as you can see by the title the ftp server is going to be down for a little bit for some maitnence. Sorry but its one of those necessary evils kinda things.

Port Change - Wed Feb 1 13:00:24 MST 2006

Alright ladies and gents. Just to let you all know I changed the port that ftp is running on. In thoery this is going to let the downloads go faster and when the downloads are faster hopefully poeple will disconnect sooner then more poeple can connect. Anyways new port number is 27016. Please take note of this.

So as you may or may not notice depending on whether you pay attention when your here or not. I have changed the layout... YAY... Nah but seriously it was time for a layout change and i kinda like this one personally. I'm gonna be adding more stuff here and there as the days go by so don't be suprised.
